slide1.jpgCreating audio-visual sequences has become a popular activity at Conwy Camera Club since the club bought a computer and digital projector.

The pictures and music can be co-ordinated much easier than with the old method, where 35mm slide projectors had to be coaxed into working with a tape player.

We have created an a-v especially for visitors to this website. It shows scenes in and around the historic town of Conwy and the musical accompaniment is provided by kind permission of harpist Llio Rhydderch and her record company, Fflach. Click here to download and view this a-v.

Llio, who lives on Anglesey, is the most influential player of the traditional Welsh triple harp today. She improvises on a vast treasury of ancient Welsh tunes to produce delightful music. Her CDs have been acclaimed in Europe and North America. The music for this a-v sequence is from her enchanting CD called Melangell. To find out more, please visit her website: http://www.lliorhydderch.com/. To listen to her music without watching the video, click here .

Fflach is renowned for high-quality recordings of traditional/folk musicians, mainly from Wales. For details, please visit: http://www.fflach.co.uk/

There are two versions of the a-v we have created for the website. Please note: users download and run these a-v files at their own risk, and Conwy Camera Club cannot be held responsible for any losses or damage that may result. Copyright remains with the club and with Llio Rhydderch and Fflach, and unauthorised reproduction or distribution of the pictures or music is prohibited.

Large

This is the complete a-v with pictures timed to change with the music. This is 4.2MB and will take quite a long time to download unless you have a fast connection such as broadband. To see the sequence, right click and select save to disc. When it has finished downloading, you can open/run the file. Your computer may say it doesn`t recognise the software. This shouldn`t be a problem because it`s an “exe” file, which means you don`t need anything else to run it. When you`ve finished viewing, or if you want to interrupt it, just press Escape on your keyboard.

Small

This is the same sequence of pictures and music, but you will have to use your mouse to advance the pictures. Initially this will include only some of the pictures in the full sequence. The rest will be added as time permits. To view this sequence with music, first click on Play Music then click on Slideshow. You can move on to the next picture when you`re ready by clicking on the next number at the top. When the music ends you can play it again by clicking on the bar at the bottom (Play is a triangle pointing to the right)

Feedback

We appear to be breaking new ground for camera clubs by providing an a-v via a website, and we`d appreciate your comments on how easy/difficult you found it to download and run, and whether you think it was worth the effort! Also, if you belong to a club which has already provided an a-v on its website, please get in touch. The address for comments is: information@conwycameraclub.co.uk

Happy viewing!
